The Ghana Armed Forces invites applications from candidates to apply for its Navy Officers positions.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY FOR GHANA ARMED FORCES RECRUITMENT/ENLISTMENT 2021
Eligible applicants should:
- Be Ghanaian citizen by birth.
- Be of good character.
- Not be less than 20 years and not more than 26 years by 6th June 2021, for Regular Commission and not more than 30 years by Thursday 02 May 2021, for Short Service Commission.
- Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standards.
- Not bonded.
- Not married (for Regular Officer Candidates only).
- Be of minimum height of 68m (5'6") for males and 1.60m (5'4") for females.
Note: For Military Police only; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5'9") and 1.70m (5' 7") for females.
Must have the following:
- Six (6) Credit at BECE, including English and Mathematics.
- Six (6) Credits (not less than C6), including Core English and Core Mathematics.
Or
- Six (6) Credits (not less than D), including Core English and Core Mathematics.
Or
- GCE 'O' & 'A' levels: Five (5) Credits (not less than 6), including English and Mathematics at GCE 'O Level and not less than D in two subjects and General Paper at GCE 'A' Level.

1. Executive Branch
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognised University/Institution in any of the following:
- Nautical Science.
- Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Statistics,
- Computer Science.
- Oceanography or Geomatic Engineering.
2. Technical Branch
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognised University/Institution in any of the following:
- Marine Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineering.
- Electrical Engineering,
- Marine Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

3. Supply and Secretariat Branch
In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a First Degree not below Second Class Lower from a recognised University or equivalent Professional Institution in any of the following:
- Administration (Human Resource/Accounting/Marketing/Banking & Finance).
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Port and Shipping Administration.
- Management Studies/ Bachelor of Commerce.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- Preference will be given to applicants with additional certificates in the following:

- Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSA) - Final Part.
- Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) - Level 5
- Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (GILT) - Final Pan.
