- Visits vessels, marine structures, and manufacturers for routine survey activities
- Performs work that involves visits to vessels both on and offshore
- Prepares technical reports in accordance with class rules
- Work directly with clients to identify and resolve problems in areas of technical expertise.
Requirements:
- A degree or recognized equivalent in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
- Experience as a surveyor, knowledge of Class Rules, Guides, statutory regulations
- Offshore surveying experience a distinct advantage
- Sea-going experience as engineer preferable
- ISM/ISPS Auditor qualification preferable
- Must have a working knowledge of computer programs or software packages related to job responsibilities
- Ability to work well with others
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
Senior Marine Surveyor - American Bureau of Shipping
Due to an increase in work orders ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) Europe are recruiting for a Senior Marine Surveyor to be based in our Accra, Ghana office.
Your primary function will be to examine and report on vessels, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU’s), equipment and machinery, and other marine structures during and after construction relative to compliance with the applicable requirements for maintaining the unit in Classification with ABS.
You will survey vessels to ensure they meet associated statutory and special service requirements related to Safety of Life at Sea, Loadline, Tonnage, Cargo Gear and Pollution Prevention Certification, etc. You will work with a diverse team, and this work will be both on and offshore. National and sometimes international travel will be required.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have sea going experience, as well as experience working for a classification society as a Senior Surveyor. You will have experience surveying offshore as well as ships in service and classification and be a qualified Auditor.
To be considered for this role you must possess the following:
- Fluent in English language both written and verbal
- Currently a Senior Surveyor working for a Classification society
- Offshore surveying experience
- Ships in Service surveying experience
- Relevant degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
- ISM/ISPS Auditor qualification is desirable
- Experience working at sea as an Engineer highly desirable
Offshore Manager - Castor Vali Landmark
The Offshore Security Manager shall work offshore on-board exploration vessels for approximately two (2) months per rotation. The responsibilities will include coordinating all security project plans; and assisting the Vessel Master with offshore incident response and crisis management.

- 5+ years in the Maritime Security industry in a management capacity.
- Having over 3 years' experience working and supporting explorations vessels in high risk waters.
- No less than 100 seadays in the role of Offshore Security Manager

- BOSIET Certificate, HUET Certificate and MIST certificate
- Seaman's Discharge Book & Seaman's Card
- STCW 95/10 — Elementary First Aid; Personnel Safety & Social Responsibility; Personal Survival; Elementary Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention

Maritime Security Officer
The Maritime Security Officer shall work offshore on-board exploration vessels for approximately two (2) months per rotation. The responsibilities will include, but not limited to conducting vessel vulnerability assessment and identifying areas of weakness that will require vessel hardening.
