MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), the Management Accountant will perform the following duties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares periodic projected financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
- Provides support services by working with all Directorates and Deans to help make informed financial decisions.
- Ensures that spending is kept in line with the budget.
- Informs key strategic decisions and formulates business strategies. Advises on the financial implications of business decisions.
- Analyses financial performance and contributes to medium and long-term financial planning and forecasts.
- Offers professional judgement on financial matters and advises on ways of improving business performance.
- Monitors and evaluates financial information systems and suggests improvements where needed.
- Implements corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls
- Controls and forecasts income and expenditure.
