JOB FUNCTION

To nurture and educate students through effective teaching and learning in the Social Sciences, particularly History

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and deliver lessons in accordance with the approved syllabus
• Select or prepare and use a range of different learning resources and equipment
• Provide lesson plan for all lessons
• Assist students who need special/extra attention
• Attend all school functions regularly and punctually
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations
• Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of students' progress and development
• Manage students behaviour in and outside the classroom to ensure discipline in the school
• Engage in co-curricular activities
• Comply with agreed school policies and guidelines, which aim to promote pupil/student education
• Perform any other duties that may be determined by the Headmaster or Head of School from time to time.

JOB REQUIREMENT

The right candidate must possess the following:

• A Bachelor of Education in History OR Bachelor of Arts in History plus Diploma/Certificate in Education
• Not less than six (6) years relevant post-qualification experience in Teaching
