Transport Officer, Transport Department
Duties/Responsibilities:
General and Administrative:
- Maintaining an up-to-date database of all the institution's vehicles.
- Ensuring drivers have the appropriate Class and valid Licences.
- Advising on recruitment of new drivers and testing of driver candidates in traffic rules. signage, signaling and practical driving.
- Advising on driver deployment.
- Acting as the Line Manager to the Transport Department, evaluating drivers' performance, allocating and rotating appropriate work assignments.
- Submitting regular and comprehensive monthly reports to the Supervisor on vehicle movements, fuel usage and problems.
- Ensuring vehicles are used in accordance with the institution's policy and that vehicle usage data is correctly recorded.
- Conducting regular parade and inspection of administrative and pool vehicles.
- Performing any other related duties when required

Transport and Fleet Management:
- Ensuring observance of road safety standards: ensuring project vehicles are used in accordance with established rules and regulations and that vehicle usage data is correctly recorded.
- Tracking vehicle and fuel usage with GPS tracking

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for updating the rider's logbook on a daily basis will required information
- Ensuring that the motorcycle is cleaned routinely of when the need wises.
- Carrying out daily inspection on the general condition of assigned motorcycle and properly locking motorcycle when there is a need to leave it

This is a full-time position that will be based in Accra, Ghana. The Transport Associate will facilitate the transportation of programme staff and implementing partners in Accra and Takoradi during the implementation phase of this project. He will report to the HR & Administrative Officer
Responsibilities and duties
- Drive JSI allocated vehicle and observe all road rules and signs according to the required legal and traffic
- Carry out different inspection of the vehicle before driving such as checking of coolant, oils and other fluids.
- Carry out minor vehicle repairs and other emergency activities such as flat tires during any road breakdowns.
- Update all vehicle documents such as car registration and insurance.
- Maintain a car logbook, fuel and oil requisition book and prepare a logbook summary each day.
- Maintain cleanliness of the motor vehicle.
- Collect and deliver documents, parcels or mails as directed by the supervisor.
- Perform other work related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
