A reputable multinational company engaged in the provision of trade solutions and advisory services to both the public and private sectors have vacancies for dynamic individuals to join its wining team as a Database Officer, Enterprise Systems
DATABASE OFFICER (ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS)
Duties / Responsibilities
- Support the organisation's databases across our IT infrastructure
- Maintain database support tools, database objects. backup and recovery processes & procedures
- Implementing data models and designs, creating database tables, indexes. triggers and views to support new and existing applicationn.
- Install software and maintain upgrades and patches, facilitate root cause analysis on database and maintain technical doumentation relating to database
management.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement
- Develop and test database backup and recovery plans.
- Perform database backup and restorations.
- Ensure stability and availability of database systems.
- Monitor databases and applications performance to identify issues that arise.

- Create and maintain customised database reports and perform data analysis.
- Sustain integrity and security of against threats and unauthorised access.
- Liaise with external service providers and stakeholders.
- Respond to user reported issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare support documentation on database
- Participate in a 24x7 on duty rotation.
- Attend meetings,seminars and trainings.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of First degree in Computer Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related qualification.
- Minimum of two years administering oracle database with logical/physical standby, ETL, replication and encryption technologies
- A good understanding of Oracle database and PL/SQL gained thiuugh running critical systems.
- Certification in Oracle database management system
- Experience in managing UNIX and Microsoft windows environments
- Experience in change management in heterogeneous IT environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadline
