Millar Cameron has the pleasure of supporting an exciting agribusiness in their recruitment for a Fleet and Transport Manager. The role is based in Ghana, focusing on the forestry sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for Drivers, Operators, and all workshop employees. Working closely with the Workshop Manager, Financial Controller, Health and Safety Personnel and company Labour Force.
The Fleet and Transport Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of specialist equipment
- Management of the Fleet
- Management of Driver and Operator compliance and safety
- Managing procurement of all fleet-related items
- Employee monitoring and training
- Maintaining data and running monthly reports on fleet
- Ensuring coordination of all transportation, vehicle and heavy machinery and workshop matters within the organisation

The successful Fleet and Transport Manager will have:
- Relevant tertiary level logistics and/or mechanical equipment management experience and servicing qualification of diploma or higher
- At least 5 years' experience as fleet, logistics or transport manager
- Ability to supervise, coordinate and direct work of subordinates
- Ability to diagnose problems and rectify
- Effective oral and written communications
- Work independently in the absence of supervision
- Understand occupational health, safety and environmental issues
- Proficiency in computer skills are required
