Role Accountabilities

  • Update the availability of spare and any shortage identified.
  • Produce the required hazards identification reports per week.
  • Produce weekly inspection (RISK /OPPORTUNITES) reports and action plans to correct deviations
  • Conducts root cause analyses and implements corrective actions in response to processing department feedback.
  • Ensure weekly BPF work completion rate of 90%.
  • Assists production in resolution of quality, timeliness, and cost problems; supplying technical information and assistance where needed.
  • Produce daily shift report at the close of shift
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, materials, designs which lead to reduced cost of quality and improve
  • Carry out over-inspection of daily mechanical jobs (day or night shift) and PMs carried out during the shift
  • Ensure that all mechanical relevant statutory and standards are adhered to
  • Manage all the mechanical activities at the plant on shift bases to achieve the equipment availability /reliability objectives
  • Review, recognise and recommend rewards for the performance of a subordinate

Person Specifications

  • BSc Mechanical Engineering with minimum of five (5) years work experience  OR  HND Mechanical Engineering with minimum of eight (8) years work experience in mining processes
  • Competent to handle multiple tasks to achieve the required result
  • Effective supervision, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement activities, as well as people management experience
  • Ability to demonstrating work behaviours consistent with the company Values and work within prescribed boundaries, including required behaviours, company policies, standards, procedures and legislation requirements;
  • Ability to influence colleagues to achieve the goals of the Section in accordance with the laid down objectives.
  • Good knowledge in computer application, especially the use of Microsoft Excel and power point.

Role Summary

The purpose of this role is to undertake survey/pickups for compensation purposes and provide stake — out points of pit limits, batter profiles, toe & crest limits and other design for the Mining Department. Also, the qualified applicants should be able to generate workout plans for ore demarcations and any design strings.

Role Accountabilities

Undertake farm surveys/pickups for compensation purposes as and when required

  • Ensure blast - hole collar/perimeter surveys are executed accurately.
  • Provide stake — out points of pit limits, batter profiles, toe & crest limits and other designs
  • Provide timely and accurate topo pickups on a daily basis
  • Ensure employees/crew members carry out accountabilities as per the outcome of daily production meeting

  • Ensure active mining areas and dump locations have Reduced Levels/Temporary Bench Marks as well as any other place as instructed
  • Generate markout plans for ore demarcations and any design strings.
  • Develop safe working procedures and continually update SOP's when necessary.
  • Ensure crew operates/undertakes any work in a safe and efficient manner.

Person Specifications

  • A Degree or Diploma in Geomatics /Geodetic Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
  • A minimum of one (1) year's experience in open pit survey operations.
  • A thorough understanding of mine surveying with experience in computer applications.
  • Ability to work in remote adverse conditions.
  • Hands-on experience with Data-mine or SURPAC mine planning software is preferred
  • Ability to use ArcGIS and AutoCAD is an advantage. 
  • Ability to operate a drone and use any drone post processing software is highly regarded
  • Possess valid Ghanaian Driving Licence and ability to drive Light

  • Assessment and recommendation of viable and feasible economic development interventions.
  • Development of economic development (Agri-based) strategy and plans for implementation.
  • Support implementation of planned interventions in communities.
  • Support creation of market linkages for various economic development initiatives.
  • Build capacity of communities in assessing micro -credit from financial institutions.
  • Develop resilient cooperatives societies in/around local economic development initiatives.
  • Manage data on beneficiaries to monitor progress towards achievement of planned objectives.
  • Develop safe working procedures and continually update Standard Operation Procedures for implementation.
  • Ensure beneficiaries operate/undertake work in a safe and emcient manner.
  • Oversee public consultation and stakeholder engagement activities and planning related to local economic development initiatives.
  • Monitor and Report on progress of interventions.

Person Specifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Agriculture Science
  • A degree in project management will be an added advantage.
  •  Understanding of local economic development initiatives in mining communities.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing social and community development compliance issues.
  • Experience in Participatory Learning Appraisal and Participatory Rapid/Rural Appraisal methodologies for community mobilisation.
