Job Summary:
We are seeking an IT Manager to be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our information technology infrastructure within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s information technology needs. The successful candidate will have improved skills, a proven professional experience with utmost confidentiality, integrity and a detailed knowledge of industry’s best practice processes.

Essential Job Functions
- Oversee all technology operations (e.g. network security) and evaluate them according to established goals
- Support and maintain MS Server/Desktops and MS Exchange
- Setting up and configuring new laptops and desktops
- Install software to laptops and desktops
- Ensuring security and upgrades are applied and kept up to date on desktops and laptops
- Antivirus installation to all desktops and laptops
- Maintaining logs on servers, desktops and laptops
- Creating purchase requisitions for IT hardware/software products or services that may be required
- Management of all purchased software. This includes creating a database of licenses, ensuring confidentiality of these licenses, renewing user permissions within the required timeframe
- Exchange server mailbox maintenance including archiving mailboxes
- Maintain the cloud based back up for TFHO
- Manage the organisation’s email and other software account
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Oversee compliance with policy and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Periodically, analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and make recommendations
- Make recommendations for the purchase of efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
- Monitor the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and make recommendations to supervisor
Reporting and relationships:
- This role reports directly to the Director of Finance and Operations and will have a working relation with all staff.
Availability:
- IT Manager will be expected to work a standard work week of 40 hours plus additional hours as necessary to get the job done such as evenings, holidays and on weekends
Required Skills or Experience
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS or similar field
- 3-5 years proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant related IT Support Services
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data center management and data governance
- Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Experience in managing information technology budget
Required Skills & Experience:
- Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication abilities both verbal and written
- Greatest confidentiality and Integrity
- Good Interpersonal skills and team player
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of NGO Field is essential but not required;
- Knowledge of relevant Software management and email domain;
- Someone with a Can-Do attitude and ready to fold the sleeves to get work moving when needed
- Ability to gain working knowledge of TFHO policies, procedures, and practices;
- Ability to act as a representative of TFHO to the public;
