Our client. Afnca's leading independent Oil and Gas Exploration and Production (E&P) Company with a diverse portfolio of assets across Africa as well as interests in Europe, South Asia and South America is seeking to fill the role of Senior Wellsite Geologist
RESERVOIR ENGINEER (ref ZA: 0074)
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Principal Petroleum Engineer, the jobholder will manage collation and coordination of all input from offshore production. development and exploration teams; support full life of field assessments and maintain project data.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimise and maintain subsurface development project plans for offshore fields.
- Provide and manage type curve inputs to feed the master PetroVR model for field profiles.
- Generate optimised life of field profiles to maximise value, highlighting key value drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Provide reservoir engineering input to early phase/notional field development plans and valuations.
- Work with the Economist in generating the valuation analysis to identify key value drivers.
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
- 5 years' experience working in field development planning.
- Strong analytical and analogue reservoir engineering skills.
- Skilled user of reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE/ tNAv/Petrel RE)
- Knowledge of Petroleum Economics.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the use of field and well analogues to inform and steer development planning and production behavior.
- Strong user of typical pre-referral upstream software (Prosper, MBal, OFM).
