Grundfos has been active in Africa since the 1960’s and currently employs more than 170 employees in SSA. Grundfos has companies is South Africa, Kenya and Ghana and in addition, have offices in Tanzania and Nigeria.

What is the job about?
As an Area Marketing Director, you will, in collaboration with the Area Managing Director, Regional Marketing Director and area sales management, develop the strategy, targets and priorities for the area. This shall be clearly aligned with the go to market approach and customer groups within the area.
The “go to market” approach for SSA is very much linked to 2 key domains. Firstly, focusing on our Distribution Partners across all markets with special attention being given to building the strongest distribution network across Sub-Saharan African. This requires heavy support from a marketing perspective which will comprise the entire mix of marketing and communication disciplines, but with specific emphasis on supporting this channel to market.
Secondly, a major part of the business environment is linked to the “CSR-domain”. This refers to Aid and NGO organizations as well as private and larger multi nationals who concentrates predominantly on providing water and sanitation into Africa. From a marketing and communication point of view, this domain is key for building our success!
