Direct and effectively manage the Alternative Channel’s (Agency Banking, USSD / Cellphone Banking, ATM/ ADT Channel, Mobile Banking Chanel etc.) resources in line with strategy, policies and values with a view to generating the highest return on capital employed, promoting customer loyalty by providing a superior customer experience and identifying and promoting new business, to ensure future business and footprint growth without incurring unmanageable risks.
experience and qualifications
- Minimum qualification : University degree in a business-related field.
- Minimum years of relevant experience : Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar or related role.
responsibilities
- Manage and support the team to ensure end to end agents’ sales, recruitment, onboarding, training, set up and ongoing maintenance, and support right through to agent decommissioning as per process requirements.
- Identify internal process improvement opportunities and facilitate the implementation of necessary actions.
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices, monitor changes and draft and implement appropriate interventions. Comply with audit requirements.
- Ensure store and agency compliance with operational processes and risk procedures by implementing a robust compliance program, consult with the business unit to ensure conformance with regulations. Includes alignment, and embedding of compliance training requirements across Alternative Channels.
- Develop rigorous business cases to drive new, differentiated market growth strategies (e.g. new product and market development) as well as defensive strategies to maintain market share.
- Monitor and manage the DDA portfolio and personal loans.
- Ensure effective customer and competitor research and analysis to help improve customer service via the Channel.
- Provide accurate, reliable and value adding report including revenue streams / financial reports / dashboards of Alternative Channels for management information and decision making.
- Manage own development to increase own competencies.
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, talent and culture of team to improve innovation, achieve efficiencies, increase competencies and business performance.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the business unit strategy through the development and implementation of the People Strategy and operational objectives.
