Our Client, is Africa’s #1 industrial and engineering services company, based in Ghana, is seeking a CORROSION INTEGRITY ENGINEER. Please note that the Minimum requirements are NOT negotiable.
The Company currently has a vacancy for a Corrosion Integrity Engineer to join its team in Ghana. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist technical advice on all matters relating to material and/or corrosion in the various plants.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Specialist advice on material selection and corrosion complications
- Liaise with clients’ Inspection Engineers and operations teams to develop maximum productivity
- Lead and drive alignment, standardization and improvement of material & corrosion guidelines, practices and policies
- Conduct corrosion surveys, assessments and audits
- Develop and manage the department’s Corrosion Management Programme
- Continuously develop improvement solutions for corrosion challenges
- Plan, monitor and improve chemical treatment programs related to corrosion
- Facilitate and drive Risk Based Inspection assessments and reviews
- Lead, support and conduct failure analysis on incidents
- Training of and workplace skills transfer to junior engineers
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in chemical- or mechanical engineering is non-negotiable.
- At least 10 years' experience, preferably in the oil, gas, or similar process industry.
- A wide experience in projects, design, maintenance, corrosion, inspection and asset integrity studies.
- A comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in corrosion mitigations, inspection integrity issues in oil and gas facilities.
- A thorough knowledge of international standards and practices such as ASME, API, ISO.
- Hold valid internationally recognized professional certifications as a corrosion engineer with NACE Coatings, CP and Corrosion Certifications; as well as knowledge of API 580 Risk Based Inspection Planning.
