Clean Team is Ghana’s leading social enterprise for in-home Container Based Sanitation (CBS) solutions. It is run by Ghanaians who provide solutions that help resolve Ghana’s current sanitation crisis. About 60-70% of Ghanaians don’t have access to clean affordable toilet. This has resulted in many residents resorting to open defecation in our communities. Clean Team’s existence is to provide a solution to these problems by presenting an affordable household toilet option for residents in Kumasi. Clean Team Ghana is represented by a team of dedicated men and women who, are committed to improving Ghana’s current sanitation challenge.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold policies and procedures for CTG, and proactively prevent risk that could jeopardize our Values, Policies and Code of conducts, and donor/investor compliance.
- Produce narratives and timely financial and impact reports for donors/investors according to agreed reporting specification documents.
- Be the connection in the organization that ensures projects are completed on time and on budget. You will own the project plan and work with the CEO to support middle and senior managers to execute to the plan
- Working closely with department heads, you will help set up and gather data to aid decision making. Expect to be in the field talking to customers, stakeholders and suppliers at least one day a week. You will need to combine quantitative and qualitative data and your opinion will be valued in these discussions
- Manage a communication and reporting strategy to document progress, impact and learnings from application of donor/investor funds.
- Assist in writing reports and publication to showcase insights and reporting figures to key internal and external stakeholders.
- There will be ad hoc work expected of the successful candidate
Required Skills or Experience
About You
The perfect candidate will be a fantastic people person, able to forge strong working relationships with key team members internally and key stakeholders externally. You must have great attention to detail and an analytical mind, able to blend quantitative and qualitative data to help draw conclusions and generate insights. You must have a passion for holding people accountable whilst also being a team player, willing to help in any area of the business that needs support. A passion for social enterprise and our customers is presumed. We expect that you are ambitious and see working with a management team as an opportunity to develop your own career, hopefully to a management position at CTG within 2 years. A desire to learn and grow within the role is important to us – the role will end up being as diverse and expansive as the successful candidate is able to demonstrate aptitude for. Person Specifications
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a relevant role – we appreciate that many of the skills are transferrable, so are open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to write and verbally communicate clearly and concisely
- High computer literacy, particularly with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and G-Suite
- Strong commitment to Clean Team Ghana’s Vision, Mission and Values
Benefits
- The role will pay between 1,000 and 2,000 Cedis per month, depending on experience
- On passing probation, the successful candidate will become eligible for health insurance
- On passing probation, the successful candidate will become eligible for the company bonus scheme
