ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The Senior Project Planner is accountable for the development and implementation of Maintenance and Project Planning for all areas above and underground through the application of best practice in planning to comply with operational and project engineering policies, standards, systems and procedures to maximize plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business’ strategic objective.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Deliver the Safety Management plan elements for the areas under the incumbent’s control
- Provide technical input to the Senior Engineering Manager, UG Maintenance Manager, Surface Maintenance Manager, Safety Manager, Refurbishment Manager, Planning Manager, Technical Services Manager and Construction Manager in order to develop the safety management plan for the construction and refurbishment works, consistent with AGA’s Integrated Management System and Standards.
- Review the application of safety standards and work practices for the refurbishment construction workforce to enable the safety targets to be managed and achieved.
- Deliver timely investigation of all injuries, illness, and incidents with actions plans developed to prevent recurrences
- Planning the of the construction, refurbishment and maintenance activities in accordance with the Government of Ghana conditions of approvals and the site’s Environmental Management Plan

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
To provide administrative and field support services to the Housing Officer necessary for effective management and administration of the Housing Estates, the 80-Man Camp, the 15-man Camp and the Guest Houses.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Maintain up-to-date records and database of company housing units
- Provide administrative support in the allocation of housing units to new recruits in line with policy and procedure
- Carry out field visits to the Housing Estates to identify deviations to Occupancy Rules and Regulations and enforce compliance of same.
- Accountable for the up keep of the Guest Houses
- Co-coordinating and monitoring maintenance status of housing units
- Serve as the interface between the 15-Man Camp, 80-Man Camp, the Guest Houses and Lodge and the HR Department by paying daily visit to the Camp Units and reporting back to the Housing Officers on concerns raised for prompt resolution.

ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT
The purpose of the role is a mandatory requirement to effectively manage explosives underground in accordance with the Mining regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Ensure Workplace safety - Monitor explosive consumptions and prompt supervisors for its safe usage and also ensure records of all pertinent explosive transactions are properly recorded to prevent explosive theft
- Improve productivity – Attends daily morning production meetings and ensure planned scheduled explosives consumption requirement are placed at the scheduled time
- Explosive reporting - Periodically submit report on all activities of explosives ordered, receipt, transported, distribution, and stocks underground in accordance to the Mining regulations
- Explosive Management - Communicate with team member for them to understand the implications of explosive wastages and its effects on the mine profitability margins.
