We are looking for a technically proficient individual with solid writing, communication and research skills. Must have a strong interest in brand building with the ability to creatively tell brand stories that will attract the right targets.The Communication Officer  will be responsible for researching and writing articles, whitepapers, PAR stories and other knowledge-based contents. S/he will assist in writing Farmerline's case studies.

You should be an outstanding editor, with an eye to easily correct grammar and edit tone of communication materials for internal and external purposes. You must be conversant with Ghana’s media landscape. Your ability to work with the media and creative agencies to carry out the right messages and manage relationships is an essential requirement for this role. The role will also require a good understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools. You  should be able to manage the companies social media accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Write articles and communication materials for internal and external purposes
  • Strategically plan communication guidelines and campaigns 
  • Research industry-related topics and share insights to inform the company’s direction
  • Manage the content calendar for the communication team
  • Write, plan and execute blog posts
  • Assist with social media management on all platforms
  • Write clear marketing copy to promote our products/services
  • Manage media and agency relationships
  • Partner with media agencies to collaborate on campaigns 
  • Organise conference attendance 
  • Support brand awareness campaigns 
  • Coordinate with content producers and designers to deliver clear messaging
  • Drive the growth and brand awareness of the organisation through content generation
  • Travel within Ghana and outside for Ghana for marketing purposes 

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral English language skills; French language skills would be an asset
  • Excellent editing skills

  • Good presentation skills
  • A strong team player
  • Good researcher
  • Good relationship skills
  • Fast learner
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel  
  • Minimum of three years working experience in a communication-related role
  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism or related field
