Job Purpose
Objective of the Position
• To drive the company's business, increase its revenue, identify and develop new business opportunities and grow the company's brand
Duties and Responsibilities
• Organise, lead and drive cohesive teams to deliver on key performance indicators to drive growth and profitability
• Generate new leads with the aim of selling deposits, loans and alternative business channels to deliver growth and profitability
• Innovate and generate new ideas for new product and service lines to expand income generation
• Maintains customer relationships and ensures customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their businesses
• Develop new strategic partnerships, and make inputs to the development of long-term objectives to meet business needs
Qualification Required & Experience
• A Master's Degree or equivalent professional qualification will be required but a proven background in business development is a necessity
• At least 10 years work experience in banking with focus on customer relationship and product sales
• A proven record of accomplishment in sales and business development in similar position
Competencies
• Should understand how to leverage technology to drive sales
• Good Communication skills
• People skills: effective communication skills to provide clear expectations to customers and capable of building a longstanding relationships
• Must be able to operate Microsoft Office and associated programmes
• Strong presentation skill is a must
• Candidate must have strong strategic analysis skills
• Excellent organizational skills are essential as well as performance monitoring will be an added advantage
