JOB PURPOSE
To be responsible for all the Finance, Accounting, Budgetary and Strategic planning functions or the Institution in light of organisational objectives and goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy
- Ensure that all statutory requirements like Prudential Returns, SSE PAYE, Withholding Taxes are met.
- Evaluate financial impact of new business ventures.
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum qualification of a Degree in Accountancy / Finance. A Professional qualification in a relevant discipline would be an added advantage.
- Highly computer literacy with good knowledge in Microsoft Applications would be an added advantage.
- Should be between the ages of 35 to 45 years.
- Should have at least 10 years relevant working experience in the role.
