A Food Processing company is seeking to recruit a Factory Manager.
Position Title: Factory Manager
Role Summary
• To supervise and coordinate daily operations of the plant to ensure that it runs smoothly, efficiently and safely to meet the business objectives; ensuring that all product manufacture, storage and distribution is carried out to the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency, meeting business plan sales requirements and within set cost limits.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Responsible for all aspects of plant performance and attainment of objectives in a cost effective manner consistent with quality requirement.
• Accountable for the attainment of the company’s objectives
• Preparation, analysis and dissemination of technical performance reports
• Support staffing and coach the incumbents in delivering the manufacturing objectives in plants and logistics operations.
• Liaise with Procurement and Warehouse managers to ensure proper raw material planning and delivery, efficient and effective warehousing, adequate inventory control, efficient product delivery, and good fleet maintenance and management.
• Ensure operations are carried out in line with proper accounting procedures and good manufacturing practices.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelors/Master’s Degree in a Science or Engineering. Preferably in Engineering.
• MBA will be a distinct advantage
• At least five (5) to ten (10) years post-graduation work experience in a milling or related company
Essential Skills/ Knowledge
• Must have aptitude for equipment operation and trouble shooting.
• Ability to quickly diagnose or ascertain situations and be decisive in solving it. e.g. identifying malfunctions on production line.
• Ability to lead root-cause analysis teams.
• Must be familiar and well versed in Food Safety Management and Quality Management programs. e.g. HACCP, Quality Improvement Techniques.
• Ability to implement and monitor food safety systems.
• Ability to implement and monitor food safety system certification (FSSC)
• Ability to develop and implement comprehensive preventive plant maintenance program.
