Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work on real business projects that add value to the overall organization
- Responsible for analyzing, evaluating and predicting sales trends in order to help the Jumia optimize its sales & promotional strategies
- Kick start the channel, by laying a solid foundation and drawing up detailed sales reports and making informed suggestions on how to improve Jumia profitability
- Support Africa wide transformation of the department to multiply by 3 the turnover in 2019
- Supporting the management and performance of an offline sales channel, the target is several thousand people across Ghana by the end of the internship
- Analyzing sales trends to build a commercial plan and identify pockets of growth
- Structure a reporting to durably support the business line
- Collaborate with business lines to identify opportunities to revamp the sales force to achieve business goals, new functionality, reports & dashboards
- Participate in a company-wide performance review and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Join a team spread across Africa and share top projects and learnings

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Action oriented and results oriented
- Strong analytical skill
- Strong interpersonal skills: Convince the people and your team that you are making the right decisions
- Ready to “get your hands dirty”
- Fast learner
- Well organized
- Resistant to stress
- Very independent with a strong ability to go further than the expectations
- Top Business / Engineering Schools and Universities
- A previous experience in management consulting, venture capital, company creation or category management (retail) would be appreciated
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel (VBA would be plus)
- Ability to analyze large data sets to make strategic decisions
