Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
This position involves providing product support to Aero customers in the SSA región. In this role the candidate will need to address Technical issues during operation & maintenance, work with stakeholders to ensure availability & reliability of the fleet and collaborate to facilitate investigations on field events.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide Controls support/resolution for TM2500/LM2500, LMS100, LM6000 fleet issues in SSA or where required (package and gas turbine)
- Develop Mapping and troubleshooting documents/protocols for field support personnel

- Support customer problem resolution & presentation through preparation and delivery of technical documents as required
- Oversee technical Installation & Commissioning activities
- Ensuring timely and accurate customer support via use of GE tools & processes
- Respond to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution relating to gas turbine using product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to soundEngineering principles, standards, practices, procedures
- Escalate issues as required acting as the liaison between the field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify, drive corrective actions while contributing to preventive measures
- Partner with the Services Engineering teams and interface with external and internal suppliers to facilitate the logistical implementation of Fleet technical solutions
- Support growth, development and implementation of all product lines
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS degree or above in Controls/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Minimum of 4-6 years of gas turbine technology experience, preferably at least on 1 of product line LM2500, LM6000, LMS100 operation & maintenance
- Actual experiences and knowledge of MK-IV, MK-IVe and Woodward MicroNet for LM package control
- Experience and knowledge on DLE control technology
- Functional knowledge/experience of Gas turbine operation
- Demonstrated ability to represent GE in customer communication & discussions
- Demonstrated ability to work with a cross-functional team in a global environment
- Proven record of responsiveness in offering disposition to various stakeholders (regional/global) including customer, service managers, design/repair center of excellence Willing to work off hours and weekends to support emergency issue resolution
- Fluency in English, ability to communicate with local customers & suppliers

- Commercial sensitivity with a focus on power generation industry customer needs
- Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
- Self-starter, ability to work in remote environment with regional/global teams; demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with analyzing field data and information, controls/electrical domain
- Green Belt or Black Belt certified (GE Employees Only)
- In Nigeria: a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate will be required (please indicate clearly on your resume)
- In Nigeria: must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in Nigeria
- In countries other than Nigeria: must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location
