A reputable publishing house is looking for an experienced Publishing Manager to join the staff. The person should have a thorough knowledge of modern book production and able to work under pressure to tight schedules to meet submission deadlines.
Applicants for this post must have a minimum qualification of a bachelor's degree in publishing studies. A master's degree in management or business administration will be an added advantage.
Applicants must have at least 5 of years working experience in a similar position and be digitally literate to use Adobe suite, CorelDraw, MS Office and browse the Internet.
Applicants must be at least 35 years old. The successful manager will be responsible for the running of the publishing department. leading the team in managing all the print and online publications of the company.

Key responsibilities include:
- Overall management of the day-to-day operations to maximise productivity.
- Maintain a productive and cost-effective workplace.
- Initiating, directing and coordinating publishing projects.
- Managing, publishing programmes and planning for new title as well as backlists.
- Implementing the operational plans that support the vision and strategies of the company.
Person specification:
- Must demonstrate leadership and management ability.
- Must be able to make complex decisions with integrity.
- Must be able to coach for results
- Must be able to plan. organise and prioritise efficiently to effectively handle daily responsibilities
