Our Client is a leading System Integrator in Nigeria. As part of it growth expansion plans, it plans to open an office in Accra Ghana
The role of the Business Development Manager is critical to achieving her desired strategic growth - Increase footprint and exploit cross-border market opportunities.
The primary purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to help the business meet sales/revenue goals and ensure clients retention. Must be able to develop opportunities and manage account accounts in Ghana region and may extend to other English speaking West African countries (i.e. Senegal, Gambia) where we found opportunities.

Critical Roles:
- Establish strong, trust-based relationships with the clients- and serve as the clients Advocacy
- Responsible for sales, invoicing and cash collections in large /key accounts
- Drive account planning process – with clear understanding of budget owners, influence centers and the approval process from the users to procurement departments
- Drive clients loyalty and retention through excellence in clients’ service and support
- Enhance the business capabilities and service offerings by listening to client needs and gain insights based on their needs.
- Identify and understand clients’ needs, proactively provide the right solutions that meet the clients’ pain points- working closely with the solutions sales team.
- Commercial management- pricing, contract negotiations (under approvals) including profitability protection.
- Collaborate effectively with other functions i.e. Presales, Project Managers both at the prospecting and fulfillment engagement stages.
- Maintain level of sales certifications (as demanded by manager) and engagement with key vendors (OEMs)
Requirements
Organisational Competencies:
- Matured and experienced resource with average of 5-7 years sales experience in ICT services industry, and deep understanding of the competition landscape.
- Flexibility to navigate ambiguity and effectively manage changing priorities
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Customer Centric orientation
