360 GV Group, an HR and Recruitment consultancy firm is recruiting a Supply Chain Manager for one of its clients who is a giant in the pharmaceutical industry.
The Supply Chain Manager will lead the Logisics and Supplies team to meet the efficiency, safety and service level requirements to support the company's continued growth. S/he is responsible for coordinating and managing all activities including the ordering, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, domestric freight and delivery of items in a manner consistent with the company's retail service and cost objectives
In addition to other duties, the supply chain manager will:
• In collaboration with the Head of Retail, formulate, recommend and implement ordering and shipping procedures for accurate and timely shipments to support order processing
• Formulate, recommend and implement warehouse control procedures for the control and documentation of inventory transactions
• Identify and implement operational excellence initiatives within the distribution stream,
• Proactively identify risks in distribution, recommend mitigation plans to management and implement approved solutions
• Plan, coordinate and reconcile annual physical inventory to assure accurate inventory records. Analyse inventory discrepanies for cause and prepare management report indicating results and proposed corrections
• Manage complex projects to meet all supply chain requirements and other strategic or continuous improvement goals
• Create a dashboard of KPIs to track metrics to measure performance and improve efficiency across the supply network
Qualification Required & Experience
• A First Degree in Supply Chain or a related qualification with experience. A second degree and experience in pharmaceuticals or FMCG will be an added advantage
