A reputable educational institution seeks to fill this vacancy position at its Head Office: Financial Controller
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for sound financial management, reporting and planning
• Provide financial advisory service to the organisation at all levels and responsible for monitoring, evaluating and coordinating all financial activities of the organisation, not excluding the non-core business
• Direct/control the accounting system and prepare budgets, cash flow statements and final accounts
• Analyse the consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual budgets for management information and organise Draft Final Accounts for external auditing
• Responsible for payroll processing and related functions, including deductions, e.g. Taxes and social security's, as well as Accounts Payable processing, bank reconciliation and data entries
• Present daily briefings to the Director, or any senior office acting in that high office, on the true state of the financial health of the institution
• Any other assignment with financial implications that might be assigned
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
• A chartered accountant with a minimum of 5 years experience at senior management level
• Experience in the operation of computerized financial systems
• Ability to develop professional business reports very essential
• Previous experience of project controlling is preferred
• Confident can-do attitude with a strong sense of purpose
• Structured, independent, and ability to take on ownership from start to finish of tasks/projects
