Report To: General Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise all housekeeping employees, hire new employees as needed, discharges employees when necessary and take disciplinary actions when policies are not followed.
- Plans the work for housekeeping department and distributes assignments accordingly. Assigns regular duties and special duties for housekeeping staff.
- Recruit and train new employees.
- Approves all supply requisitions, such as for spreads and bathroom rugs. Maintains a lost-and -found department and be responsible for all-lost-and found items.
- Responsible for cleanliness, orderliness and appearance of the entire Hotel.
- Ensure that rooms are made as per company standard.
- Prepare housekeeping budget.
- Organize inventories with Accounts and General store for uniform and fixed assets
- Assist in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping
- Attending and resolving guest complaints
- Organize on-the job training and evaluate its effectiveness
Required Skills or Experience
- Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills. Able to drive change and look for operational efficiencies
- A minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role and 2 years’ experience in a leadership role
- A degree in hotel management or any related field
- Exceptional communication skills
