Job Description
- Coordinates with the Finance Department in the preparation of yearly procurement budgets
- Streamlines procurement requests received to ensure availability of the needed quantities supplied at the right time in order to eliminate waste
- Monitors stock levels, together with the Inventory Officer for the general store
- Sources items using the correct procurement threshold and methods.
- Prepares and maintains procurement documentation according to procedures
- Serve as member of the procurement committee meeting.
- Records and keeps minutes/reports of procurement / tender committee meetings.
- Liaise with Inventory on the disposal of unserviceable stock.
- Be responsible for maintaining procurement register
- Resolves problems regarding orders; ensure orders are correctly filled and warranty repairs made.
- Examines supplies received for quality.
- Maintains a database in order to provide an accurate records/inventory of supplies.
- Maintains an accurate database of suppliers to ensure value for money in buying
- Research and present vendor profile to procurement committee for vetting and approval
- Takes active role in stock taking to help mitigate loses
- Designs and implements policies and processes to ensure value for money in buying.

Required Skills or Experience
- First Degree in Procurement & Materials Management
- Knowledge of the Procurement ACT of Ghana
- A minimum of Three (3) years working experience at Middle level supervisory position
- Evidence of Leadership and Continuous Professional Education
OR
- HND in Procurement and Supply
- Knowledge of the Procurement ACT of Ghana
- A minimum of Five (5) years working experience at Middle level supervisory position
- Evidence of Leadership and Continuous Professional Education
