A reputable Oil & Gas service providing company in Takoradi is looking for qualified personnel to fill the position of a Preparation Manager for their Project
Department.
Job Description
Contract Monitoring
- The Preparation Manager technically represents the Project Manager in the preparation and monitoring Of the contract and procurements.
- Checks that fabrication documents comply with contract documents.
- Monitors that standards, procedures and fabrication drawings are respected.
- Checks the preparation and production Planning in direct relation with the construction site and ensures that decisions made with the Project Manager are applied.
- Checks and validates procedures and technical drawings produced by methods technicians, planners and coordinators.
- Guarantees that technical measures taken and defined With the customer are applied.
- Participates in producing estimates for additional work.
- Makes regular analyses of progress with the services and monitors deviations making use cf indicators set up.
- Makes sure that « As-built » (AB) fabrication drawings produced by the Design Office are up to date.
- Produces global equipment lists for the project or segment of the project.
Management
- Organises work done by preparation technicians.
- Leads and manages all personnel related to the Contract.
Qualification
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, construction background with five years of experience
- Experience in Welding/Fabrication for the Oil & industry (Bilingual in
- English/French is a plus)
- The applicant should be able to do the following:
- Quotations
- Pricing
- Bidding and
- Co-ordinate project status and material availability
Technical skills required
- Knowledge of the professional environment
- Action promoting effectiveness
- Knowledge of the law and regulations specific to the business
- Familiarity with computer tools
