A reputable Oil & Gas service providing company in Takoradi is looking for qualified personnel to fill the position of a Welding Inspector for their Quality Control
Job Description
Management of the Group Quality System
- The person should have good experience in Quality Control, especially in the welding and inspection activities.
- Helps set up the quality system and goals and relays them to all staff.
- Defines and implements an action plan and quality metrics: monitoring of production, repair rates, subcontractor film recovery rates.
- Ensures the conformity of measuring, inspection, testing and manufacturing equipment.
- Guarantees the traceability of the technical documents, base and filler metals and operating procedures used.
Control Quality
- Stores the material on site. (marking, storage condition, segregation)
- Ensures the apphcation of the proper procedures to make up the workshop pre-manufacturing files.
- Inspects all the joint fit-up and dimensional control prior start welding.
- Collect the welder's booklet to the supervisor and update the welding following up.
Qualification
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/MetaIIurgicaI Engineering/Material Engineering with three (3) years of experience.
Certifications
- CSWIP CWI (Welding inspector 3. I)
- NDT Inspections
- A qualified/certified Welding Inspector NOT (an online certification)
Software
- Excel Logical...Good knowledge
Technical skills required
- Knowledge of the professional environment
- Action promoting effectiveness
- Knowledge of the law and regulations specific to the business
- Familiarity with computer tools
