The National Pension Regulatory Authority (NPRA) is seeking to recruit a competent and well-qualified person to fill the following position as Manager, Public Relations
Job Purpose
To provide operational support in corporate communicate and protocol affairs for the achievement of the objectives of the authority
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises the collection or data for the rormulation of policies of the authority.
- Supervises the collection of data for the development and implementation of guidelines, standards. procedures and processes on corporate communication and protocols in the Authority.
- Collates data for the management of a comprehensive database on the programmes and activities or the unit.
- Facilitates the provision of good media coverage of events, programmes and activities of the authority.
- Facilitate the organisation of press briefings and ensure effective branding and coverage.
- Facilitates the receipt of complaints and enquiries to the authority, track their status and provide feedback to the clients and stakeholders.
- Collates data on complaints and enquiries to the authority, track their status and provide feedback to the clients and stakeholders.
- Facilitates the communication, protocol services, client service programmes and activities or the Authority.
- Supervises the collection of data for the preparation or annual and other periodic reports of the unit.
- Supervises the collection of data for the preparation of budget of the unit.
Qualification and Experience
- A minimum of a Master's Degree in Communication Studies, Public Relations, Marketing or related field from an accredited tertiary institution.
- A member of the Institute of Public Relations.
- A minimum of one (1) year post qualification relevant work experience in a reputable organisation.
- Must pass a competitive selection interview conducted by the NPRA in collaboration with the Public Services Commission.
Competencies and Skills
- Good knowledge of the profile of the authority.
- Knowledge of Relevant IT Applications.
- Very good knowledge of Media Laws, Protocol Procedures & Processes.
- Very good written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Good ethical and moral values.
- Good leadership managerial skills.
