A reputable public organization invites applications fromsuitably qualified Ghanaians to fill the job vacancy as Deputy Registrar.
Position : Deputy Registrar
Reports directly to: The Registrar
Supervises: Registry Staff
Purpose: To provide academic and administrative support services to the organisation. He/she shall be responsible for the day- to-day administration of the Registry.
DUTIES:
- Organise examinations, monitor and act upon any identified risks to successful delivery; including checking student numbers, registers and mark schedules for examination delivery.
- Enter marks of examination and manage database.
- Facilitate and organise the marking, checking, collating and presentation of examination results to the Board Of Examiners, and provide feedback to candidates in compliance with Examination Board's calendar.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with the Academic Regulations and the requirements of professional regulatory or statutory bodies as required.
- Arrange meetings and serve as a Secretary, to the Board of Examiners.
- Ensure compliance to policiesi procedures and required legislation.
- Provide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology application in support of enhanced
services.
- Prepare and administer the organisationts budget,
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Registrar.
QUALIFICATION:
- A first degree from a recognised University.
- Higher qualification (e.g. a postgraduate Certificate, Diploma/ Master's Degree).
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience with five (5) years in managerial position.

- Strong IT skills, including the use of software applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Motivation and drive to work enthusiastically in an administrative role within an educational setting are essential to this role.
- Flexibility in terms of working hours and adapting to any changes in the working environment.
- Experience of working in a professional team, working with informal authority, higher education academic support service or administrative experience, ideally
in a Registry or other Quality Assurance setting, working with diverse client and stakeholder groups to maintain professional service delivery.
- Must be detail-oriented with highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge off and familiarity with the Education system in Ghana.
- Experience with the administration of public examinations would be an asset.
- Ability to keep confidential information.
- High moral character and proven integrity.
