A reputable public organization invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians to fill the job vacancy as Registrar.
Position: Registrar
Reports directly to: Head of the Organisation
Supervises: The Deputy Registrar
Purpose:
To provide management and administrative supervision with oversight responsibilities for all activities of the organisation. He/she shall be responsible for the effective and efficient planning, management and coordination of examination administration services aligned to candidate and other stakeholder's needs and requirements.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Exercise Leadership and Strategic Management in the area of Examinations Administration.
- Provide leadership and direction in the management of the security required to protect the organisation's examinations.
- Provide Operational Management of Examination Administration.
- Establish and maintain external relationships to promote and advance the organisation's objectives.
- Ensure valid and reliable assessments.
- Establish systems to ensure the examinations meet international standards at all times.
- Facilitate research-based improvement and innovation.
- Any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of the Organisation.
QUALIFICATION:
- A first degree from a recognised university, preferably in law.
- Postgraduate degree in Operations or Logistics Management.
- Professional certification in Project Management, Operations Management or related discipline.
- Qualification and/or experience in Security Management would be an asset.
Work Experience:
A minimum of fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience with seven (7) years in a managerial position.
Leadership Competences:
- Excellent organisational, managerial, planning, problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in the use of relevant computer applications.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Data Base and document layout skills.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with the Education system in Ghana.
- Experience With adrnjnistratjon of public examinations would be an asset.
- High moral character and proven integrity.
