Description
- Support the Ghana sub regional office in the implementation of daily administration tasks
- Provide full administrative and analytical support to different Operations/Technical officers
- Monitor documents for accuracy, ensuring adherence to unit and World Bank Group guidelines and procedures, and assist in editing, formatting, and production of high-quality documents and correspondence.
- Coordinating high level visits to Ghana (Briefing notes, logistics)
- Playing the role of Focal point between the Accra office and the (4) Francophone countries covered by the Ghana sub region office;
- ACS training coordinator - Identify training for ACS to improve in effectiveness and efficiency;
- Coordinating the team’s calendar, schedule meetings on their behalf, compiling meeting documents, travel arrangement (tickets, hotels, logistics, etc);
- Provide support to visiting missions (Meeting arrangement, logistics)
- Review and consolidate invoices for submission to accounting for payment,
- Perform assigned simple general administrative, budget and finance tasks;
- Oversee and ensure timely delivery of services to be performed(Solving of any non-routine problem.)
Selection Criteria
- Minimum Requirement
- University/College graduate;
- Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in administration position;
- Good written and spoken English to work in a multicultural organization;
- Familiar with preparation and logistical planning for various events, e.g. Conferences, workshops,
- Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc)

- Proven ability to work promptly and efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision;
- Proactive, willing to go extra mile, ability to take ownership of tasks;
- Maturity and good judgment; absolute integrity and discretion in handling confidential information;
- Good interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a range of internal and external contacts;
- Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented, multi-cultural environment, and function effectively in groups;
- High degree of flexibility, initiative, judgment and reliability;
- Ability/willingness to work late/come in early occasionally, as required;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs by continuous learning/training;
- Preferably having working experiences in multinational companies or international organizations;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet, etc);
- Fluency in French would be an advantage due to the Ghana Sub region coverage (4 francophone countries).
Note: The selected candidate will be offered a one-year appointment, renewable for an additional one year, at the discretion of the World Bank Group, and subject to a lifetime maximum ET Appointment of two years.
