Key Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience on board crude oil/product carries as master mariner, chief officer or marine superintendent of offshore facilities essential.
• Thorough knowledge of FPSO marine practices, including deck operations, engine room activities, navigation, marine regulations, tank entry and inspection etc. essential.
• Master Class 1 certificate of competency with oil tanker endorsement or equivalent marine technical background with FPSO experience.
• Previous work experience with the hydrocarbon industry and FPSO’s is preferred, with a working knowledge of hydrocarbon operations, safety systems and permit to work procedures.
• Understanding of relevant legislatives requirements with respect to overall operation of FPSO’s inclusive of principles and effects of loss stability and its control
• Strong marine operations knowledge in key areas such as Marine Oil and gas terminals, oil tankers/gas carriers, FPSO marine systems, offloading systems, environmental protection safety, reliability, efficiency and regulatory compliance issue; Auditing of offshore marine terminals including FPSO.
• Proven management and supervisory skills
• Proven leadership and planning skills
• Maintenance management systems experience
• Marine operations experience
• Management of major emergency response duties/fire team trained.
• Strong stakeholder appreciation essential.
• Experience in providing on-the-job training or mentoring more junior peers highly desired.
• Experience of working with Localisation programs highly desired.

They have an enviable reputation for EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) services as well as charter and operations projects. Responsibilities:
This role encompasses many functions including:
- Assist with the carry out of first line Marine & Cargo operations – activities as directed by relevant discipline supervisor on the FPSO and the utilities plant in a safe and efficient manner, being aware of safety of others, effective utilization of FPSO systems and processes related to FPSO operations, ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements.
- To supervise the cargo control room activities related for vessel cargo and offtake operations and complete all these work activities in accordance with the facility standards, facility management procedure and specifications for;
- Marine control room watch keeping duties, monitoring cargo, ballast, mooring and communication systems and environmental conditions. Ensure all appropriate navigational warning are displayed.
- To monitor, control and operate the marine and cargo operations efficiently, ensuring all procedures are adhered to and all defects are reported to the offshore technical lead. To ensure a proactive and continuous approach to safety.
- Supervise and monitor all vessels in the vicinity by maintaining an efficient AIS and VHF watch.
- Supervise, coach and mentor the operations services technician group with tank washing and gas freeing operations as the ‘responsible person’.
- Supervise helicopter landing and takeoff activities including weather updates, close liaison with HLO during helicopter operations.
- Supervise and ensure that the offtake equipment and machineries, such as the IGS system, offtake meter and prover, cargo pump are functioning correctly.
- Supervise and ensure the tests on GMDSS equipment are carried out in accordance with SOLAS
- Supervise maintenance activities like periodic inspections
- Ensure that all marine related communications equipment is functioning properly.
Ensure proper radio watch is maintained.
This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary.

• Offshore/Hardship allowances may be considered.
• Transportation as necessary and required.
• Alternatively, a transportation allowance may be provided.
• 15 days paid leave and public holidays.
