The Risk Independence & Legal function deals with any issues that potentially expose Deloitte to risk. The risk independence and legal issues impacting the firm are varied and may include reputation, operational, litigation and regulatory risk.

Role Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Risk, Independence and Legal Specialist for our Risk, Independence & Legal (RIL) Unit in Deloitte Ghana.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of quality, risk, regulatory and compliance support activities to ensure a high standard of compliance. Depending on experience possessed by the candidate, he/she will also provide legal support to the team as and when required.
Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities are;
- Support RIL in engagement acceptance procedures
- Support the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and other Managers in other roles as may be assigned
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the CRO

Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BSc, BA etc.) or any related discipline and/or Law (LLB/BL) with a minimum of a Second Class Lower
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar field
- Relevant certifications such as ACCA, ACA, CIA, CFE will be an added advantage
- Applicants must have a keen interest in developing their skills in the Risk and Independence field.
- A fair understanding of Risk Management and Regulatory requirements for different industries will also be valuable.

- Must be of proven integrity and have the ability to give attention to confidentiality requirements.
- Possess excellent writing and oral communication/presentation skills.

- Must also have the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workloads and pay attention to detail.

- Be prepared to make extra efforts from time to time to meet tight deadlines.
- Be a good team player, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in the use of MS-office tools i.e. Excel, Word and Power point.
- Be willing to learn new skills in the broad activities that Risk and Independence cover.
