interrelated development challenges. FHI360 serves more than 70 countries and all U S states and territories. we are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions on a USAID-funded Ghana Partnership for Education: Learning project in Ghana.
Temporary Data Entry Clerks x10 - Accra
Position Summary
The Data Entry Clerk will type information into our database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer literate and a fast typist with a great eye for details. The Temporary Data Entry Clerk will report to the National MEL Coordinator. He/ she will also work in collaboration with all the field staff of the project in all 10 regions, especially the Regional MEL Coordinators. The Temporary Data Entry Clerk will mainly be responsible for entering and cleaning participant data of all workshops organized by Learning using Access- based database systems. Understanding of data confidentiality principle iS essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Transfer data from paper formats into a MS Access database system using Learning provided laptop computers
- Verify and clean data by comparing it to source documents
- Making telephone calls to participants to collect additional information or update incomplete records.
- Update or clean records already entered into the database or excel templates
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
- Sort and organize paperwork into arc folders after entering data to ensure it is not lost

Minimum Requirement
- Degree in Statistics or Secretaryship or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
- Proven experience as data entry clerk, with fast typing skills
- Experience in entering data into a database system is an advantage
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Great attention to detail
- High level of flexibility
- High level of proactivity
