Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
The Role:
•Promote a safe and open culture following company policies.
•Ensuring the FPSO meets all the safety and operational requirements as laid down in the design.
•Be able to take control and manage major emergencies on-board.
•Must be quality conscious and deliver technically sound results without incident.
•Plan and coordinate with the Superintendents all production and maintenance activities so as to achieve production targets.
•Ensure implementation of the Company Safety Management System i.e. compliance with legislation, company policies, standards and procedures, monitoring compliance by all other personnel.
•Promote a safety culture where all personnel have an understanding of the Operations Safety Case and operate rigorously in accordance with it.
•Ensure strict implementation of the Permit to Work (PTW) system.
•Ensure all documentation and certification is in order and up to date.
•Facilitate constructive working relationships with all personnel, encouraging open communication, both vertically and laterally.
•Promote team building, training and development and to ensure that the Company Competence Assurance System is progressed.
•Ensure that regular Emergency Response drills are carried out in compliance with regulations.
•Ensure compliance with obligations laid down in the FPSO’s Collective Bargaining Agreements.
•Provide relevant reports to the Concession Owner’s representatives as per their requirements. Be able to plan ongoing FPSO activities minimizing downtime and lost production.
•Open the daily Permit to Work activities.
•Accountable to ensure all FSPO isolations are completed in a competent manner following the Permit to Work System.
•Be able to address the training needs for the Nationalisation program and others.
•Be able and capable to evaluate his/her FPSO Staff during the annual appraisal time.
•Analyse and sign time sheets from vendors completing production related activities.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience
•Proven experience in the oil and gas offshore industry.
•15+ year’s offshore facility production and maintenance experience with at least 5+ years in a OIM position.
•Preference for 5+ years international experience. (FPSO)
•Formal training with Command of Major Emergencies competency.
•Commercial experience and awareness particularly in budget preparation and cost control.
•Good analytical and problem-solving skills, work with minimal supervision and must be a high self-starter.
•Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multinational team.
•Ability to execute a nationalisation plan.
•Effective written and oral communication skills.
•Must be fully competent in the application of permit to work systems including identifying suitable process isolation including equipment integrity issues.
