Our client is looking for experienced TOUR PLANNER to join their transport team.The Tour Planner will be part of a team with responsibility for supervising a business unit that packages Foreign Individual Travel (FIT) and group tours, destination management, events and conference management services covering the West African sub-region. He/She will report directly to the Sales and Operations Manager.
Title: Tour Planner Job location: Accra
Salary: Competitive Start date: ASAP
Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Develops tour itineraries, costing and packaging in response to client requests.
- Handles all written and verbal correspondences with clients regarding the details of their packages.
- Speaks with clients on the progress of their tours based on the critical path plan to ensure swift confirmation and a solid working relationship.
- Reviews final execution plans for delivering land and air services for business and leisure travelers.
- Sends deposit receipt notices and final confirmations to Clients who have made deposits and final payments for their tour packages and services.
- Coordinates with Corporate Travel Unit to ensure that air travel packages are offered to all Clients traveling from every part of the world.
- Facilitates contractual agreements between Land tours Ghana and Clients.
- Meets all groups on arrival; assists in orientations and reviewing the final itinerary and package with the Group Leader to ensure that the Group Leader and Land tours are in agreement.
- Be part of the committee responsible for designing new tour programs and enhancing old itineraries.
- Participates in weekly meetings with Travel Planning Team to ensure that the work plan for each Group’s land arrangements is on target and communicates and updates the team on all new information.
- Prepares quarterly activity reports and analysis of the following:
- Any other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
Experience required:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the tour/ hospitality or administrative field
Preference:
Experience working with a Multi National Company or background
