Job Description
Report To: General Manager, Operations
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the official vehicles in good working condition at all times.
- Responsible for the delivery of official documents
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe custody of vehicle, including regular servicing, correct re-fuelling procedure and completing of vehicle log book.
- Undertake errands as may be instructed and directed by superiors
- Maintain defensive driving and report any fault on vehicles
- Report accidents promptly and accurately to supervisor
- Notify Admin Officer in a timely manner of vehicle renewals (road worthy and insurance)
- Keep assigned vehicle clean
- Discharge only official business when in possession of company vehicle
- Responsible for any other duties as may be assigned
Required Skills or Experience
- Must live in and around Tema Community 18
- Must have good knowledge of road safety rules and regulations
- Candidate must posses a G.C.E, ‘O’ Level or S.S.C.E/WASSCE, Technical certificate (N.V.T, I, M.V.M etc.)
- Must have a valid Drivers’ License (Class ‘C’) with at least 5years continuous driving experience in an organization
- Must be drug and alcohol free at all times
Personal Competencies
- Capable of working under pressure and for long hours
- Maintains a high sense of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to remain confident, calm, tolerant and attentive when driving
- Present a confident and professional image at all times
- Must possess strength and stamina to lift and distribute heavy packages
