An international organization is seeking a Finance and Administrative Officer to join its team. The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance and administrative functions of the organisation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The job functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintaining proper books of accounts and facilitate compliance with all statutory requirements;
- Preparation of accounts and management of funds for all projects;
- Managing Taxes of the organization (e.g. withholding tax);
- Preparation of all payroll accounts for local staff;
- Preparation of annual report for the officials in Ghana;
- Provision of input for the development of accurate annual reports for the ministry in Germany;
- Provision of input and support on industry data cleaning and analysis;
- Communication with headquarters regarding accounting and registration issues;
- Participation in management meetings where management suggestions will be reviewed;
- Provision of input and support of management in responding to queries regarding the financial and accounting strategy for the organization in Ghana;
- Liaison between the organization and the landlord as well as other related parties;
- Ensure maintenance of the office grounds;
- Execution of other administrative duties that may be assigned.

Required Skills or Experience
Interested applicants must have the following qualification, experience and skills:
- A Master´s degree in Finance or Accounting;
- A part qualification in Accounting (ACCA, ICAG or equivalent) will be an added advantage;
- 5 years working experience as an accountant (preferably with an international organization);
- Experience managing and supervising staff;
- Perfect command of written and oral English is a must;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and good use of computerised accounting systems;
- Experience and/or familiarity with international foundations, preferably German institutions would be an added advantage.
The contract will valid till September 2020, renewable subject to good performance. Remuneration will be based on qualification and experience, commensurate with industry standards. Job location is in Accra, Greater Accra.
