Job Description
Purpose Of The Job
This position is responsible monitoring, analyzing, coordinating, and planning the procurement of high quality materials and services for the various activities of the company. To provide logistics support for in-country operations including the supply chain, asset management and liaising with all departments for logistics & procurement to raise the efficiency of the department and increase their cost-effectiveness.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities:
- Ensures the timely delivery of quality products at the lowest possible cost:
- Participates in the selection of suppliers based on a criteria
- Conducts a comparative analysis on supplier prices
- Reviews and evaluates the performance of the suppliers
- Ensures the proper management of procurement department operations in the absence of the procurement manager
- Ensures the proper processing of assigned purchase requests
- Verifies quantification of orders
- Verifies that the required order is within the agreed budget
- Submits final invoices to the Finance and Accounts Department
- Creates Purchase orders and ensure all necessary documents are attached.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- To ensure strict adherence of company’s H, S &W and absolute rules at all times.
- To report and document any incident or accident occurred.
- Follow safety and hazardous instructions before start of work.
- Ensure a clean Environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee all jobs linked to procurement to ensure they are carried out effectively.
- An interface between management and clients
General Duties:
- Any other duties that may be assigned.
Key Performance Indicators
- Create and manage a comprehensive database
- Timely reporting on all Procurement & Logistics Operations
- Prompt and appropriate reporting (Written and Verbal)
- Strictly Adherence to Procurement Cycle Time
- Timely procurement of goods and materials per request
- Timely delivery of goods and services requested by the various department
- Excellent care and management of materials procured before they are dispatched
- Update of documents, forms and database
- Strict adherence to safety and health procedures at all time.
- Meeting the KPI specifications.
Required Skills or Experience
- A Higher National Diploma and/or Degree in Procurement Management or Supply chain
- An equivalent combination of training and experience
- Driver License.
Experience
- Minimum Two (2)or 3years years relevant experience in a similar position
- Experience in inventory/stock/supplies management.
- Experience in the contracting and/or manufacturing field is preferred
- Working experience in the Telecommunication or similar industry
Knowledge
- Knowledge of procurement and logistics
- Good Knowledge of country wise sites installations.
- Knowledge of market and vendors
- Knowledge of cost control
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suit and other procurement management software.
- Ability to take sharp decision as first line support and document operational Procedures.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong ability to source and develop relationships with vendors.
- Strong personal and supervisory time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong negotiation ability.
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Good negotiation skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Computer literate (Microsoft Windows & Microsoft office).
