Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment to the following positions at Ghana Technology University College: Senior Network/Systems Administrator
Primary Responsibilities
• The Senior Network/Systems Administrator is the focal person in the charge of the University's computing and network infrastructure
• The person will design, install, configure, optimise and maintain the integrity of school's network systems and equipment, including servers, switches, routers, voice and video systems
• The position also involves evaluating present systems and recommending system expansion, modification and replacement, as well as developing long-term strategic and capacity utilisation plans
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master's Degree in information technology, computer science, information systems or related fields
• Possession of valid industry certification such as CCNA, CCIE, MSCE etc is an added advantage
• Experience with complex multi-system platforms and vendors, specifically windows server & Linux distributions
• Experience coordinating multi-system and computing environments in independent computing facilities
• Experience in the physical installation, update, and maintenance of client-server hardware, including data centre implementations
