Job Purpose
• To provide strategic leadership, technical and administrative direction for the integration of STEM policies and plans into the sector's programme
Duties and Responsibilities
• Leads the development and enforcement of standards that guide the integration and mainstreaming of STEM education in Ghana.
• Ensures that all activities of the sector Agencies are consistent with prevailing government policies, objectives and directives for STEM development
• Ensures the provision of a standard framework for STEM development education
• Ensures the availability of appropriate internal structures, human resources, decision-making systems and processes that will continually promote STEM
• Establish a portfolio of plans and projects with the view of addressing special interest and/or inadequacies for the promotion of STEM education at all level across the country
• Initiate the formulation and review of policies and inter-sector programs based on successful models and best practices for STEM promotion
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must possess a Master's Degree with research experience or PhD from an accredited tertiary institution
• A minimum of 10 years of post qualification relevant working experience
