Job Description
- Assists in advising management and staff on a wide range of HR related matters.
- Assists in performance management system and employee evaluation
- Undertakes regular salary survey from the industry and administers payroll and it management
- Monitors overall headcount budget and staff related indirect and direct costs including payroll, overtime, leave, pension and medicals (annual budget composition against monthly expenditure)
- Builds a database on staff monthly attendance and generate report for payroll by the 18 of every month
- Coordinates and administers training and development programs and liaising with external training bodies as required
- Handling of disciplinary investigations, hearings, appeals and grievances.
- Assists in the management of recruitment and selection activities for technical, professional and managerial level positions to include formulation of job descriptions, advertising and management of interview process.
- Assists in the management of the various HR projects as directed by the Human Resources & Admin Manager and in line with HR objectives.
- Assists in the management and co-ordination of manpower planning in line with company expansion annually.
- Assists in the managing of absenteeism through absence management policy (to be developed) for both short and long term absence in line with HR objectives.
- Assists with the ongoing review and enhancement of the group and HR Policies and Procedures in line with legislative developments. Liaising with company legal advisors to make amendments to same.
- Creation and delivery of HR related management training and induction programmes.
- Effective and efficient management of employee records by building database on all HR relevant data and information as well as periodic update.
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Social Sciences and Psychology from a reputable university
- Professional HR qualification such as IHRMP, CIPA etc.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years Industry experience
- Knowledge of the Labour Act 2003 (Act 651)
- Understanding of recruitment processes and systems
- Ability to drive performance management to achieve organization performance
- Sound knowledge of training and development
- Ability to develop and implement employee relations policies
- Ability to understand HR concept and principles
