Job Title: Software Testing Engineer
Job Responsibilities / Key Result Areas (KRAs)
I. Identifying business requirements.
ii. Testing various software applications.
iii. Testing client server architectures.
Iv. Testing of component based distributed enterprise wide systems and web based applications.
v. Preparation of test cases, data and execution of test cases.
vi. Understanding of defect tracking process and issue escalation. vii. Design and write individual scripts for every browser.
viii. Design and write effective scripts to measure the server capacity.
ix. Able to monitor the server side load for testing.
x. Conceptual understanding of workload analysis.
xi. Presenting findings to software development and business user teams.
xii. Real world experience with performance testing of web based application. xiii. Project planning.
xiv. Stress testing, Black/Grey/White testing, Performance testing, Functional testing,
And Scalability testing.
xv. Tracking applications and softwares.
xvi. Writing and executing test scripts.
xvii. Running manual and automated tests.
xviii. Liaising with project teams globally.
xix. Communicating to technical and non-technical colleagues.
xx. Testing in different environments including web and mobile.
xxi. Providing objective feedback to software development project teams.
xxii. Writing bug reports, Resource planning, Reviewing documentation, Quality
Assurance.
xxiii. Problem solving, designing tests to alleviate risk.
xxiv. Traveling to different project sites.
xxv. Working on multiple projects at one time.
xxvi. Document dissection.
Qualification:
Masters or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information
Technology, Software Engineering or related subject.
Certification: ISEB / ISTQB accredited.
