We (Epiroc ) are looking for a dynamic, ambitious and highly qualified Product Line Manager (PLM) for RDT. This position will play a key role in the building of a strong business proposition for customers in the region and will be reporting to the General Manager. The PLM will be mainly responsible for growing RDT sales through coordination of activities from the identification of customer needs to the proposal, negotiations, delivery and commercial and technical support, in cooperation with the product company.
The position will amongst other things be responsible for: – Implementing actions that result in sales and profitable growth that are in line with overall company objectives and goals -Developing marketing plans and activities in cooperation with the Product Company/Division – Optimizing the geographical coverage of the market by using Territory Management – Key account management and development – Developing and maintaining a strong price policy – Maximizing new business potential through close cooperation with the other divisions within the Customer Centre including Parts and Services – Exercising control of all costs and efficiency measures associated with the operation
Mission
The region is experiencing strong growth activities and your mission will be to secure and develop a strong market position. You will work in close cooperation with the BLMs in the development and deployment of a strong business proposition that secures a high and sustainable market share and customer satisfaction. This includes: -Identify, seek and secure new opportunities, applications and customers. – Establish and maintain product strategy within the RDT range of products – Maintain regular customer visits to establish requirements, and ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times. This requires good communication and relation with administration and service departments. – Ensure all enquiries and orders received are managed promptly and in an efficient manner, issue technical and commercial proposals. – Collaborate with other colleagues to effectively promote RDT products.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of five years previous experience with mining customers/companies in a sales, marketing and/or service role.
- Preferably good understanding of Mining and Construction customer segment and application
- The ability to express ideas, send, receive and exchange information clearly.
- Able to identify alternatives to current thinking; ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to problems.
- Able to promote, develop and maintain a positive culture throughout the organization and to improve it’s performance.
- Able to positively persuade, convince and impress others in order to achieve results
Knowledge
- Good knowledge of RDT equipment and their application. – Fluent in English – Very good financial understanding
Educational requirements
The successful candidate should have a University Degree, preferably in Civil, Mining or Geology Engineering or similar through experience – Commercial and/or financial training is a merit
