Responsibiities
- Ensure the provision of efficient and reliable financial and accounting services to all Departments and Units of the Company.
- Manage and coordinate relationship with financial institutions including external lenders, Bilateral and Multilateral Agencies
- Ensure the maintenance of adequate records of all financial transactions and the preparation of periodic financial reports.
- Provide timely and appropriate management information for planning, monitoring and control of corporate resources and to aid Management decision making.
- Control the disbursement of funds to third parties and to employees by way of salaries and re-imbursement of expenses such that only properly authorized payments are made and that all payments are properly, accurately and completely accounted for.
- Provide policies, procedures and controls for Management of the company’s financial resources and to safeguard the assets of the Company.
- Provide policy recommendations on capital borrowings, investment and cash flow planning required by the Executive.
- Provide supportive advice to Directors and Managers to ensure the financial and commercial viability of all initiatives as well as a strong control environment.
- A minimum of a degree in Finance/Accounting.Must be a Chartered AccountantA Master’s degree (MPA/ MSc. /MBA) in Financial Management or related field of specialization from a reputable tertiary institution.A minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification relevant work experience, five (5) of which must have been at Senior Management level.
- Must have good knowledge and skills in contract management, contract negotiation, contract administration and project management.
- Good knowledge of Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Financial Administration Act (FAA), Public Procurement Act (PPA), Ghana Tax Law and Internal Audit Agency Act (IAAA).
- Be conversant with Risk Management and good corporate governance policies.
- Knowledge of Evaluation and Analysis of Tenders
- Must be familiar with International Financial Institutions procurement guidelines and procedures.
