Job Description
Function: Administrative
Department: Finance
Location Accra : Ghana
Job type: Permanent
Organization Overview/ Reporting Line
- Direct Supervisor: Chief Finance Officer
- Indirect (Functional Supervisor): Chief Executive Officer
Job purpose
- Manage & supervise the functional and administrative duties and responsibilities of the Finance and accounts department.
- Function as an advisor / consultant and keep accurate business transactions in ledgers and ensure the team records them on Financial statements monthly, quarterly and
- yearly.
- Lead and grow the team while controlling cost and improving productivity.
Key Tasks
- Manage and supervise the functional & administrative duties & responsibilities of the
- Finance and accounts department
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies & procedures
- Ensure on time preparation and reporting of
- periodic & year-end Financial Statements as per IFRS
- Prepare budgets in close liaison with unit managers and other heads of departments
- Review and control approved budgets
- Control asset, cash, accounts receivable management.

- Direct Report : Revenue Account Manager
- Indirect Reports: Finance Department Staff
- Communication & Working Relationships: All Staff
Required Skills or Experience
- At least a university graduate in accounting & Finance business discipline
- MBA Finance / M-COM will be an advantage
- Recognized travel qualification- IATA /UFTAA is an advantage
- CRS - Computer Reservations Systems (Radixx) is an advantage
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a reputable IATA travel agency / legacy airline/ travel management company at a managerial level
- Proficient in Microsoft office (word, excel, outlook etc.)
- Fair knowledge of world geography
- Knowledge of Airlines’ codes and IATA city/ airport codes
- Experience in BSP and CRS refund
- Experience in SAP Accounting System is an advantage

- Good knowledge in the travel industry’s Finance
- & accounts procedures
- Good customer service skills
- Problem solving skills
- Team spirit, planning, organizing, communication, forecasting, budgeting,implementation, controlling, analytical,supplier relationship, delegation, reporting, computer savvy, legal formalities, supplier negotiation
- Travel agency front, mid & back office systems
- Understanding of IT tools and processes
- English Fluent (Written and oral), Chinese is an advantage
- Required to be Flexible concerning working hours
