Job Description
• Oversee the production process, drawing up a production schedule
• Ensure that the production is cost effective without any wastages
• Decide what resources are required to achieve efficient production
• Draft a timescale for the job
• Estimate costs and produce in line with the quality standards
• Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
• Be responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment
• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes
• Liaise among different departments to ensure teamwork
• Work with managers to implement the company’s policies and goals
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
• Supervise and motivate a team of workers
• Review worker performance
• Identify training needs
Qualification Required & Experience
• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum 7 years working experience
• A Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field will be an added advantage
• Proven experience as production manager in manufacturing company
• A knowledge in shea nuts processing will be an added advantage
• Experience in production, processing with dexterity and computers
• Ability to read and comprehend operating instructions
• Knowledge in MS Office, ERPs etc
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
