Job Description
The Tutoring & Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with teachers, lecturers and professors of our students. Additionally, the individual is responsible for creating a strategy for soliciting school bags, exercise books, stationary materials, as well as small to mid-scale donations from donors (private, public and corporate). The position reports directly to the Accountant & Country Manager of BBSCF.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Colleges and Senior High Schools of our students
- Pick up report cards and academic progress of our students
- Monitor the health, progress, behaviour, needs and accomplishments of each student at the Senior High level and Tertiary Institutions and immediately report any issues to the Country Manager
- Cultivate positive relations with University/school administrators and lecturers/teachers at the university/ schools attended by the BBSCF students
- Create and execute a fundraising strategy for soliciting materials and funds
- Create a balanced and sustainable funding mix of various donor sources
- Ensure donors are recognized and their in-kind donations and monies are used as requested
- Write and submit solicitation letters, as well as thank you letters
- Arrange meetings with potential in-country funders and donors
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or related field
- Experience in fundraising is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience
- Knowledge of Ghanaian culture, traditions and laws regarding the treatment of children
Skills And Qualities
- Commitment to BBSCF mission and values
- Ability to take initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
